Call for articles
The Bollettino di studi belliniani, an online journal promoted by the Centro Studi Belliniani and the Fondazione Bellini, welcomes proposals for publication of articles focusing on the figure and work of Vincenzo Bellini, his historical-social environment and, in general, the theatrical world, linguistic, literary, and figurative culture related to opera in early nineteenth-century Italy.
The Bollettino di studi belliniani is an annual open-access periodical, classified as a “Classe A” journal (first class of the academic journals’ ranking) by Anvur, the Italian Agency for University and Research Evaluation.
Articles can be published in Italian, French, English, German, or Spanish. Although there are no length limits, it is suggested not to exceed the size of 15,000 words. The texts may contain musical examples and images, for which the author must ensure free availability. Proposals for review of books and audio-video recordings of significant cultural interest are also considered.
Proposals, written in Word format, must be sent to [log in to unmask]
All proposals are subject to the Editorial Board’s first selection and, if accepted, to a further evaluation based on a blind peer-reviewing process, which will be forwarded to the proposer.
The standard deadline for submitting proposals is June 30 of each year; different deadlines can be agreed upon with the Editorial Board.
