True, dear David! Conceiving design in philosophical terms, on one hand;
and on the other, bringing philosophy 'down' to impact daily life: that
would indeed be the modern days "copernican revolution"!
So, referring both to your mature and a thoroughly thought over opinion, on
one hand, and on another hand, to your long standing and proven
professional experience, how for instance, now stimulated by the current
COVID-19 worldwide pandemic, the present generation of designers in all
subfields should embark on developing needed strong arguments,
substantiated with facts, that 'ordered' daily use artifacts will
undoubtedly contribute to humanity's better psychic, social and economic
life, as you conclude your paper?
You say: "...our capacity to design is fundamental to our social and
economic life". And I entirely agree!
Thank you very much for sharing, and all the best!
François
