Gaspar,
I don't know much about the history or current leadership of Amnesty International. The current list of leaders of Human Rights Watch shown on their website is eight people, four of them female and only two of the males white. (It does seem to have very heavy American representation.) SPLC was started by Julian Bond. (OK. It would be odd if it weren't pretty much wholly American.) But a list of three organizations refute the observation that when "an elite all-White mostly-male group is making all the decisions, then more often than not the outcomes of those decisions will (further) advance elite White men's interests"? Three out of [how many?] disproves "more often than not"?
This is not to argue that any of these organizations are models for new enterprises. If, however, they were being formed today, one might advise them to heed Carma's advice.
