Dear colleagues,
The school where I teach and research, the Wilson School of Design at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, transitioned from college to university around 10 years ago.
The need to build structures and a culture of research has been the focus of the last few years and one of my main tasks. I assume other institutions in the world may be in similar situations.
In order to continue the growth of our institution's research culture, knowledge and understanding, I would like to share with my colleagues online resources from other researchers and institutions with longer and/or diverse tradition, so they can learn at their own pace more about Design Research overall.
The ideal would be short presentations, videos, documents openly available for them to start exploring the topics of their interest, or even just to learn what those topics may even be! What are you and your colleagues researching about in your institutions? What type of research you usually engage in? What methods you normally use?
Thinking that my institution is surely not the only one going through this experience, it makes me think if building some sort of curated repository could be an interesting idea for this diverse group, or maybe exists already and I am simply not aware of it.
All thoughts and resources will be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Victor G. M.
