I realize the report I enclosed disappeared. The point was to share our findings from benchmarking construction with architecture, in particular design, engineering and CAD-systems.
The report is here

Dear all,
In the Build 4.0 consortium we did go further with using ship design methods and tools for construction. I enclose a report on the first set of findings.
We have engaged ship design specialists and are now using for instance SSI-ShipConstructor in for instance a newly started factory for multi-family homes.
In general we have found that ship design practices have a lot to teach us about the design of complex products.

Hi Lars,
There might be some useful stuff for you in Bent Flyvbjerg’s book Megaprojects and Risk: An Anatomy of Ambition.
It is centered around case studies of large scale construction projects, including the Big Dig in Boston, the Øresund Bridge, and a number of others.
Best of luck, I’d be interested to hear more about your project as it develops.
