Hi Andrea,
Based on the very many responses I've received (thank you everyone), lots of labs that selected the Quidel test are actually doing the analysis in the lab and not at the point of care.
Thanks
Sally

Hi, in Australia most labs that do preeclampsia testing use the PLGF/sFlt-1 ratio mostly by a Roche method. I am a bit puzzled how the Quidel test is used at the POC if it needs EDTA plasma. So you have centrifuges in Maternity units? If any labs in the UK have a diagnostic protocol for this POC test and device, could you pls kindly share it with us down under?
Best regards, Rita

Hi,
We are looking to implement the Quidel test within our Maternity unit.
This project was on hold due to a lot issue with the reagents. Since this has been resolved, the POCT team have been focussing their efforts on supporting the COVID response but we are hoping to get it back on track when things return to some level of normality.
Kind Regards
Sarah

We've had recent local interest to measure this as well so all really helpful and thanks for posting your initial query Sally. For those of you using or looking at the Quidel Triage method could I confirm are you performing the test in the lab or have any of you looked at/been been able to perform this at Point of Care e.g in Maternity?
It looks it is 15 mins per test, so taking into account QC and requirement for EDTA plasma these would all be important factors.
Many thanks,
Andy
