This is a reminder that the annual Andrew Goodwin Memorial Prize is now
accepting entries for its 2019-20 round, and the deadline has been extended
until *midnight 29 February 2020.*
Staff: please circulate this announcement to all your PG students (the
prize value is £1,000, so well worth applying)
Students: please consider submitting an essay!
This prize is awarded for the best essay by a postgraduate student on any
aspect of popular music from any disciplinary perspective.
The value of the prize is £1,000 (and additional £500 prize for the
runner-up) and publication of the winning essay on the Andrew Goodwin
Memorial Prize web page on the IASPM UK and Ireland website.
The panel of judges is Matt Brennan, Simon Frith, Rosemary Lucy Hill, and
Katia Iskakoff.
The winner will be announced in May 2020.
