Dear Colleagues,
INSAM Journal of Contemporary Music, Art and Technology is very pleased to invite you to collaborate on the fourth issue of our journal (I/2020).
The main theme of INSAM Journal No. 4 is Human-Machine Collaboration in Music, Arts, and Theory. In this issue, we aim to further explore possibilities of the interaction of human and technology in arts. Readily aware of the ever-expanding role of technological means in life and work of contemporary people, we are interested to find out how artificial intelligence can directly affect the way humans create and think about music and art. Thinking about machines as collaborators in the context of arts will not only help us overcome deep-rooted dichotomy human vs. machine, but also demonstrate the strengths and weaknesses of both antipodes.
With that in mind, we encourage you to discuss topics that include (and are not limited to) following areas:
- Creativity in human-machine collaboration;
- Learning in human-machine (artistic) collaboration;
- Decision making in human-machine (artistic) collaboration;
- Artists as machine trainers;
- Arts and Robotics;
- Philosophy of/and/in Artificial Intelligence.
INSAM Journal is structured in four sections: The Main Theme, Beyond the Main Theme, Reviews, and Interviews. The main topic predefines only The Main Theme section; in other sections, we welcome contributions related to contemporary art and media theory, artistic music, performing and visual arts, technology.
The deadline for the theme and abstract submission is March 1, 2020, and for the full-text submission April 15, 2020. You will be notified by March 15, 2020, if your topic has been accepted. For detailed information on the manuscript preparation, see Authors Guidelines on the INSAM Institute website. E-mail for submissions is [log in to unmask]
Looking forward to our cooperation,
Rijad Kaniža, Editorial assistant
