Grade and Salary:
Lecturer: Grade 7, £46,292 - £54,534 inclusive of £3,500 London Weighting Allowance per annum
Senior Lecturer: Grade 8, £56,060 - £64,405 inclusive of £3,500 London Weighting Allowance per annum
We are offering an exciting opportunity to apply for an open-ended position at either Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level in the Department of Biostatistics and Health Informatics at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN), King's College London.
The focus of this role is on developing and applying statistical methods for clinical trials. It will involve working with clinical collaborators at the IoPPN and externally, and with the King's Clinical Trials Unit and NIHR Maudsley Biomedical Research Centre.
The post holder will work on a range of clinical trials in mental health funded by NIHR and UKRI, and will also be expected to support new submissions to funders as a co-applicant. They will be expected to teach on the new MSc in Applied Statistical Modelling and Health Informatics and other MSc programmes.
The Department of Biostatistics and Health Informatics is world-renowned for developing novel methodology and applications in the field of mental health. The department is rapidly expanding its clinical trials statistics group with this appointment and new research posts, part-funded by a recent NIHR Research Professorship award to Professor Richard Emsley and due to the planned success of the Mental Health Statistics group affiliated to the King's Clinical Trials Unit
This is a full-time post and will be offered on an indefinite contract. The selection process will include a panel interview and a presentation.
