The University of Hull is seeking to appoint x 2 External Examiners for our following collaborative partners, to commence September 2020:
Bishop Burton College:
-	FdSc Animal Management and Behaviour
-	BSc Applied Animal Behaviour and Training
-	BSc Bioveterinary Science
-	BSc Animal Behaviour and Welfare
-	FdSc Applied Animal Health & Welfare (subject to validation this year)

Barnsley College:
-	FdSc Animal Management

North Lindsey College:
-	FdSc Animal Welfare Science

Grimsby Institute:
-	BSc (Hons) Animal Management Top-up (subject to validation this year)

The External Examiner would be required to fulfil the following core duties for two of the above partner institutions:
•	monitoring the continued currency and validity of the programme as a whole;
•	verifying that the standards of the assessment of programme learning outcomes/competencies are appropriate for the level of award; 
•	attending all Boards of Examiners at which student achievement is classified and degree awards and progression are recommended;  
•	comparing the academic standards of student performance with those of other higher education institutions;  
•	ensuring that the Boards of Examiners are adhering to the regulations pertaining to the calculation of awards and progression;
•	submitting an annual report using the University’s pro-forma once per academic year.

It is anticipated that the successful applicants will have relevant expertise in this field and ideally, will have acted as an external examiner on a similar programme.

The successful applicants will be paid the standard University fee (subject to student numbers) and any reasonable travelling expenses.
