1 Professor (Scale 2) & 1 Senior Lecturer in Applied Psychology, School of Applied Psychology
Permanent Whole-time Posts
UCC wishes to appoint two senior academics to the School of Applied Psychology, one at Professor (Scale 2) level and the other at Senior Lecturer level. These posts represent an exciting opportunity to make a significant contribution to the continued success of an energetic, community-facing, growth-oriented school.
The successful candidates will have strong research track records that relate to one of the research themes in which the School of Applied Psychology is active and which it is keen to develop: Healthy Development and Ageing, Mental Health and Wellbeing, People and Technology. One of the posts will be reserved for a candidate with expertise in or related to HUMAN COMPUTER INTERACTION who will play a key role in developing our new degree in Psychology and Computing, building the People and Technology research group, and attracting research funding in the area. The second post can be in any of the three research strands and will also involve playing a key role in academic development of that area.
Appointments to the level and area will be decided by the selection committee following the selection process.
Although the School is keen to develop its engagement in interdisciplinary research and teaching, a background in Psychology that meets eligibility criteria for membership of Psychological Society of Ireland/ British Psychological Society is required for course accreditation purposes. This typically means holding a degree in Psychology.
Please note that Garda vetting and/or an international police clearance check may form part of the selection process.
