Hello
Does anyone have any experience with analysis of stent encrustations? There is no stone retrieved but the patient had a previous stone 1.6 cm and developed ureteric stricture. He had second surgery for reconstruction with JJ stent. After one month the JJ stent was covered with yellow encrustation and they are asking if this can be analysed. I am just wondering if we dissolve samples of these encrustations in alkali and acid can we put them through the IR or any other method. Has any lab done that before?
Many thanks
