Hi everyone,
The annual recruitment drive always brings us a wonderful number of new members, and
new discussion topics. This is a wonderful thing to see. But, for some people, there
are too many emails. I'm not saying anyone should stop emailing!! But if you feel
you're getting too many emails, there are two good options:
1) Make a 'TeachLing' folder in your email client and set up a new email rule or
filter to send all messages from [log in to unmask] to that folder. Then you
can peruse the list emails at a time that suits you. There are lots of different
email programs and web services out there but if you just search online for '[your
email program] email rule folder' or something like that, you should find useful
guidance.
2) Change your subscription from individual emails to the daily digest. To do that,
just send an email from your registered address to [log in to unmask] (NOT
[log in to unmask]) with nothing in the subject line, and the following in the
body of the email:
SET TEACHLING DIGESTS
Put another way, your email would look like this:
========================================
From: [your registered address]
To: [log in to unmask]
Subject:
SET TEACHLING DIGESTS
========================================
If you still want to leave the list, you can unsubscribe altogether by sending the
same email but with 'unsubscribe TEACHLING' in the email body, to the same address.
Hopefully everyone can stay happily in this band of TeachLingers!
Dave
