Hi,
We're considering a new initiative to promote talking books, particularly for children and teenagers. The idea is to play an audiobook in the library, for people to listen in to, so it would be played over a loudspeaker for anyone in the vicinity to listen in for however long they like. The idea is to run this during after-school hours, or perhaps during SRC activities. The audiobook could be themed to the event.
We've asked our A/V supplier about the licensing issues for this, but they've been fairly non-committal. Has any other public library service run something like this, and if so, what advice would you have?
Happy to collate replies for the list.
Thanks in advance,
Andy McDonald.
