medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
For a readily accessible explanation of the person with severed arms (or just severed hands) who is shown in images of the Dormition of the Theotokos, see:

medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Hello Dorotheea,
Welcome to the List.
Here is a link to the highest resolution copy I could find just browsing on Google ( 5315 x 3543 )
https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/6b/Assumption_of_the_Virgin%2C_the_Church_of_Saint_George%2C_Staro_Nagoricane%2C_Macedonia.jpg
There is some interesting iconography in this fresco. Who is the person in pink with the arms cut off?
Cheers

Good afternoon!
Here bellow are the link of 2 photos of a fresco(Assumption of the
Virgin) in the Church of Saint Geroge, Staro Nagoricane, North
Macedonia:
https://we.tl/t-Joj5BNmveP
The photos are not clear enough, I cannot see details for painting. If
you know where from I can find photos with good resolution (for free)
of the angel , please let me know.
Any good photos, entire saint and/or details.
Of course I am interested in all frescoes in this church, entire and
details, if you may know where to find good resolution photos of them.
What I found in all my searches is not satisfactory.
Thank you very much for trying to help.
Best wishes,
Dorotheea Rubliov
