Dear Sukanta & Terence,
According to my experience, "Design" as the sector (academia > Exploration
> Profession) itself is Polymathic in its nature.
I believe, the "Stepwise Gradually Stringed Learning Process" is more
helpful to convert a fresh brain into a veteran design professional. Here,
"Stepwise-Gradual-Stringed-Learning Process" means, the development of a
learner's thinking & skilling process from basic to the complex analytical
professional abilities. This could be achieved by combining:
(1.) Practical & Skill-based subjects (which may complete in a single
stretch (04-05 hours/day - out of 06 hours academic/day) of a couple of
days/weeks/months, e.i. module-based components during the academic year's
syllabus). These modules should be Edutainmentive in nature.
(2.) The theory based subjects could be delivered (01-02 hours/day - out of
06 hours academic/day), and could be extended throughout the academic year.
