GSM London is seeking an external examiner for law modules that form part of our LLB (Hons) Law programme.
Applicants should have suitable academic qualifications, expertise and experience teaching law modules on a qualifying law degree programme. Applicants should have sufficient experience to cover a variety of modules which (depending on the candidate) may include:
• CLAI4010 Contract Law I
• CLII4011 Contract Law II
• ETLL5016 Evaluation- The Law in Context
• ELAW6016 Employment Law
• FLAW6022 Family Law
• ILAW6030 Public International Law
• ELII4021 English Legal Systems II
• ELSI4020 English Legal Systems I
• TLAW5042 Tort Law
• CLAW6032 Criminal Law I
• CLAW6033 Criminal Law II
• LEII6036 Law of the European Union Law II
• LEUI6035 Law of the European Union Law I

Successful applicants will be appointed directly by University of Plymouth.

• standards are appropriate by reference to published national subject benchmarks, the National Qualifications Framework and the University’s programme and module specifications
• the assessment process measures student achievement against the intended learning outcomes
• the assessment process is in line with the University of Plymouth’s Assessment Policy
• our awards are comparable in standard to awards conferred by other UK HE institutions
• the assessment process is operated fairly and equitably and in accordance with University of Plymouth Regulations.
All appointments are subject to meeting the University of Plymouth’s criteria for the appointment of external examiners.
