Subject: Panel Members for Northern Ireland Engineering Foundation Degree Revalidation



Ulster University seeks expressions of interest from External Panel Members for the revalidation of a Foundation degree in Engineering with Specialisms delivered by a partner FE College and validated by the University.



External Panel Member for FdEng Engineering (Manufacturing/ Mechatronics) in March 2020 (South West College).



The revalidation event will be held in the partner college, campus to be confirmed. All sites are accessible from the Belfast Airports, as well as from Dublin and City of Derry airports.



The University will reimburse reasonable expenses and would be pleased to arrange travel and overnight accommodation if required, as well as payment of a fee.



As a minimum, External Panel Member nominees should have:

• Current knowledge of working in UK Higher Education.

• An understanding of the expectations for UK academic programmes at levels 4 and 5 (Foundation degree).

• Familiarity with processes for approving academic programmes in Higher Education.

• Knowledge of the subject area of Engineering, including manufacturing and mechatronic engineering.

• Membership of the HEA.
