Dear Ganesh,
I am glad to hear that your research is focusing on such an important user group as the visually impaired.
Last year, in my Experience Design course at Tongji University in Shanghai, I developed a project that focused on the blind and the visually impaired and how to give them access back into society so that they can live more …. life. I often got questions, especially at the beginning of the project, why I had decided to focus on such a narrow user group. From my point of view, no user should be left behind whatever disability they may have or how large is the user group. We all have a right to live enriched everyday life.
Actually, I came across a book written by someone who is legally blind and who loves to go to museums and enjoy art! This book touched me deeply and inspired me to focus on the experience of the blind and visually impaired. I recommend the book for everyone who is working with user experience. It is written by Georgina Kleege and the title is: More Than Meets the Eye: What Blindness Brings to Art. Oxford University Press, 2018.
While working with the project, the FORD Motor Company announced in the video “Feel the View” last May their development of a new technology and a product for the blind and visually impaired. It was amazing to see that they have done research in this area for the advancement of a technology for the blind. I hope this helps.
Best wishes,
Kaja

I would like to understand in depth the Perspectives of tactual perception, parameters which define tactile diagram/graphics. Kindly share recent studies, and experiments involved in the world of touch.
