LECTURER IN MUSIC ANALYSIS – University of Manchester (Ref. HUM-13329)
Full time: £36,261 to £39,609 per annum (according to experience)
Fixed term: 1 August 2019 until 30 June 2020
The Music Department at the University of Manchester invites applications for a temporary lectureship in Music Analysis, tenable from 1 August 2019 or as soon as possible thereafter until 30 June 2020. You will be expected to convene and deliver course-units in Music Analysis across the curriculum, contribute to other teaching at undergraduate and Master’s level as required, and contribute to the management and administration of the department under the guidance of the Head of Music. You will hold a PhD in Music, demonstrate subject expertise in your specialist field, have a strong awareness of current thinking in the field, and have a proven ability to provide high-quality and innovative teaching to a range of student groups at different levels. While the post is teaching-focused, you will also be encouraged to contribute to the research culture of the department.
