Is that a mandible? at first glance it looks Apodemus. It is useful to
count the tooth roots in total - usually Apodemus has 6 and house mouse
only 5 (m3 has one root only), also house mouse is much smaller. In the
maxilla Apodemus has m1 with 4 roots and house mouse has only 4.
