**Deadline for submissions: 19th December 2018.**

Following our highly successful inaugural conference in 2018
(https://langpol.ac.uk/view/langpol/events/2018-lpforum) - where delegates from over
20 countries met over two days - we are delighted to welcome submissions for our
second annual conference.

Theme: ‘Lenses, layers and entry points’
When: 30-31 May, 2019
Where: George Square, The University of Edinburgh, UK

Plenary speaker(s):
Professor Helen Kelly-Holmes (University of Limerick)
Professor Constant Leung (King’s College London)

==Call for Papers==

The Language Policy Forum 2019 invites scholars, practitioners and others to explore
various lenses available to us to understand the multiple layers of language policy
processes. Whether an image, a discourse, a practice or an ideology, language policy
can be approached via different entry points. These call for different analytical
lenses, which in turn shed light on different layers of language policy. This is the
Language Policy Forum, a forum for all research about language policy.

The Language Policy special interest group (www.langpol.ac.uk) exists to enable such
broad and inclusive dialogue. We are open to a wide diversity of fields, including
(but by no means limited to) sociolinguistics, applied linguistics, linguistic
ethnography, linguistic anthropology, political philosophy, economics, education
studies, globalisation and migration studies.

For further details of our call, and to submit your proposal, please visit our
website: https://langpol.ac.uk/view/langpol/events/2019-lpf

Please help support the conference by forwarding this message, and retweeting us:

And if possible please also consider printing and displaying our flyer!

All the best,
