Hi Mia,

the exact same error is also appearing when I do 2D classification with newly extracted particles. The job stops during noise spectra estimation.
I used relion_image_handler --stats --i particles.star to check the particles, but I assume they are all okay since I did not get any error and the values are quite similar for each particle.
Also disc I/O should be fine in our case. 
I also tried reautopicking and reextraction of the particles and still get the error.

Have you already tried with the latest version and got to some success?
Or did you come to another good solution?
