For those of you who are following this subject:
I’ve posted a new essay today @ https://oregon.academia.edu/JerryDiethelm <https://oregon.academia.edu/JerryDiethelm> in which I explore some of the implications of embodiment on design thinking through the lens of two remarkable books, Mark Johnson’s, Embodied Mind, Meaning and Reason: How Our Bodies Give Rise to Understanding, and Antonio Damasio’s, The Strange Order of Things: Life, Feeling and the Making of Cultures. The course charted and the conclusions reached, while potentially far reaching, are all of the speculative middle distance. Comments, on or off-line, are always welcome.
Apologies if this notice appears more than once. My first attempt at posting was rejected.
Warm regards to all,
Jerry
