IET launches Open Access Journal on Energy Systems Integration
Developed from a fruitful partnership between the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and Tianjin University in PR China, IET Energy Systems Integration (ESI) is a new Gold Open Access journal that aims to publish original research and the latest perspectives from ongoing projects and developments in energy systems integration technology.
IET Energy Systems Integration journal is a platform designed for sharing ideas with the global ESI community. It covers the integration of multiple energy systems at various scales, and across the energy supply chain. This broad, multi-disciplinary scope will appeal to a wide practitioner and research-active audience looking for thorough coverage of the latest developments. In particular, the journal will publish in these areas:
• Energy Apparatus for ESI (e.g. Design, modelling and validation of energy apparatus for ESI)
• Technologies of Individual Energy Vectors for ESI (e.g. electrical networks, natural gas networks)
• Multi-vector Energy Systems Integration (e.g. modelling and analysis of multi-vector energy systems; planning, operation and control of multi-vector energy systems)
• Interdependencies Between Energy and Other Infrastructures (e.g. the energy-water nexus; the energy-food nexus; the energy-transport nexus)
Vincent Cassidy, Head of IET Academic Publishing, points out, “The journal joins our already well-established portfolio of energy engineering research titles, such as IET Smart Grid, IET Power Electronics and IET Renewable Power Generation, which moved into the top quartile of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in the latest Journal Citation Reports (JCR). The new journal will complement and enhance the IET’s footprint in a key topic of energy engineering, and will help to maintain our position as one of the leading content providers in the area.”
The first issue will be available in February 2019.
