A meeting has been arranged to explore and develop a proposal for a finance and economics special interest group (SIG), to promote the use of statistics in these areas. This was floated in the Autumn of 2017 and a small working group has been taking this forward, including with the support of the Royal Statistical Society (RSS), the Royal Economic Society (RES) and UK Finance.
Denise Osborn, Secretary-General of the RES, will chair informal discussion to map out the possible scope and future work programme of a SIG.
Everyone with an interest in statistics in economics and/or finance is welcome.
