The position is part time - up to 34 hours per week.
We are seeking a highly motivated Clinical Scientist in Biochemistry to join our enthusiastic team in the Blood Sciences department of Derbyshire Pathology, to be based on the Royal Derby Hospital site.
Derbyshire Pathology is a partnership between the departments of Chesterfield Royal Hospital and Royal Derby Hospital, providing a wide range of biochemical services for both Trust and Derbyshire GP’s, serving a population of over 1 million. We have a fully integrated blood sciences service which includes an automated laboratory, specialist biochemistry with tandem mass facilities and haematology and immunology sections.
As the successful candidate you will have completed a 3 year pre-registration training programme in general clinical biochemistry, be HCPC state registered as a clinical scientist and completed part 1 of FRCPath.
The post offers excellent training and career development opportunities and you will be a key member of the blood sciences team. There will be opportunities to develop expertise in and to contribute to the department’s audit, development, research and teaching programmes.
