Hi Teena and all,
These are valuable resources, and I’m familiar with many of them. The arguments are persuasive. How about others on this list? Are these familiar resources?
To move off topic slightly (and possibly start another thread), I’m also interested in the broader questions of struggles for power at the micro level.
While gender plays its part in this, as in other domains, there are other types of struggles for power that intersect and don’t necessarily follow gendered lines.
Also, apart from the big picture focus at the macro level, what about the micro level at which AI operates?
I’m thinking particularly of the level at which the actual struggles for micro power occur in organisations—the politics of everyday life in organisations. In our own work, it takes up about 50% of the effort in our design projects.
Is this familiar practical and research territory in design?
David
