Have you considered applying for Archive Service Accreditation? Are you looking for a tool which will support you in reviewing and developing your archive service? Archive Service Accreditation is the UK wide standard for archive service which supports the work of archive managers. For senior managers, funders and stakeholders it is an indicator of a successful, resilient services. Services participating in the scheme report that a successful application can result in benefits including increased profile, securing improvements in the service, additional funding and clarifying a sense of direction.
SCA is providing a half day overview of the Archive Service Accreditation Scheme for services considering using the Standard and applying for accreditation.
This workshop will:
* Introduce the purpose, potential benefits and principles of Archive Service Accreditation.
* Hear from successful applicants about the practical benefits which have arisen as a result of their participation
* Introduce and explore the Archive Service Accreditation Standard.
* Explore the tools and guidance available to support applicants
