Hi All
I had that problem this year and had to apply to JCQ for an exceptional arrangement- this involved a separate inspection visit at a cost of around ?150. It was agreed we could move papers securely no earlier than the afternoon before the exam day - it meant a lot of transporting but was worth it. You will have to make a clear case - include candidate numbers, overall staffing, rooming, paint a picture of how much pressure you are already under on those days and how on the day arrival could impact students if there was a delay. You also have to say how impractical it would be to print 100s of papers on the day from PDF.
Regards
Lorna

Subject: Alternative Site form for 2018/19 academic year
Hi Folks
Has anybody seen the new JCQ guidance for the next academic year yet? The reason I ask is that JCQ have now stated that we are unable to use the Alternative Site Form for students who sit at a Campus which is not the registered address and must only be used in exceptional circumstances.
This has a massive impact on us as a college as we have two sites with only one registered address (where our secure cupboard is). I am currently seeking guidance from JCQ as I have phoned both Pearsons and AQA to seek their guidance - which I hasten to add, they didn't know about this particular change and they have advised me to speak with JCQ directly. This will have a huge cost implication for us to set up another registered address, along with a secure cupboard at our other site not to mention the inspection from JCQ itself.
I am sure that we are not the only college that has multiple campuses with one registered address, and I just wondered what your thoughts are with regards to this.
Thanks.
Charlotte
