Hi everyone
Hope people have heard about this by now: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/15/health/alcohol-nih-drinking.html
What I don't really understand is how many studies have we run long enough to find harmful effects of the drug/intervention? Majority of the studies are run long enough to dissect beneficial effects, especially drug trials. Also majority of the trials exclude vulnerable population. So I am not sure when they say the "NIH investigators were extremely critical of the design".
Any comments?
Thanks
Anoop
