Well... as I said on Tuesday, I ran a survey. The result so far is 52% against, 48%
in favour (n=25). TeachLing has 810 members so if this is representative then it
suggests 400 people who'd like to join a Facebook group. I wasn't altogether
convinced myself but hey ho, let's give it a try.
In the spirit of TeachLing I've set this as a PUBLIC group, so everything you add
will be fully accessible online. This is the same principle as the TeachLing
listserv, but let's be honest, academic listservs don't tend to come that high up the
Google results. Facebook on the other hand is likely to be much higher up the
results, so bear that in mind. Here's the group:

As far as I understand, any member can approve any other new member requests, so
people don't have to wait for me to approve them, i.e. once you've joined you should
be able to add others too.
Enjoy!
Dave
