The recent call for workshop participants is strange. It states:

Gee. "little is known about human expectations?"
There are several fields where this research is prominent. Many
publications. It is a well-studied area.
Who studies this? Gee, lots of people.
here are some of the fields:
Cognitive science
experimental psychology
human factors
ergonomics
human-robot ingteraction
human-computer interation
aviation safety
...
many of these fields have special interst groups and publications on
interacting with autonomous vehicles. topics. My research group has
publisahed a large amount of papers. Wendy Ju, formerly at Stanford and now
at Cornell Tech, has published a lot.
a search for "human interaction with autonomous cars" on scholar.google.com
yields 105,000 results.

A number of design schools and firms are doing resarch on this topic.
NOTE; This doesn't mean that there should not be a workshop. However, the
premise of the workshop is wrong. That should be corrected.
