Salary Details: Grade 10 £26,830 - £29,777 per annum, pro rata

Location: HM Prison, Sudbury
We are looking for a chartered librarian to manage the prison library at HMP YOI Sudbury. HMP Sudbury is a rehabilitation and resettlement category D prison for Male prisoners. You will be managing the prison library and directing library staff to assist prisoners to make use of library materials and services. You will need to be enthusiastic about libraries and reading and their potential for assisting with resettlement and rehabilitation. A positive attitude to working with offenders and excellent interpersonal skills are essential in this challenging and rewarding environment. You will be committed to providing high standards of customer care and have the ability to work as an effective Team Manager.
The hours will be worked on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
As this vacancy is based within HMP, any appointment will be subject to a Vetting Form check via the National Offender Management Services.
