Hi Esra
A very general suggestion, but I would have a scan through the proceedings of the International Conferences on Design History and Studies (ICDHS)
http://www.ub.edu/icdhs/
They have every second conference or so outside the Western sphere, most recently Taiwan and Brazil, but Turkey in 2002. Domesticity seems a common topic of papers.
Best regards
Guy

Dear All,
Hope you are having a great weekend.
I need some sources referring to the changes, adaptations or any
interaction and interplay with flows of Modernization in the context of
domesticity in Non-Western countries, for example, China, Brasil, India,
Korea etc. I live in Turkey and I need more non-western cases. Both from
Turkey and other non-western cases are kindly welcome.
(*Domesticity covers the domestic practices, objects, furniture
and relevant household ethos of the space, objects and experience.)
Kind Regards,
Dr. Esra Bici Nasir
