Dear list members,
I'm sorry for cross-posting. Related to my research, i'm investigating the
history of eating outdoor, picnic, picnic types and barbecueing in
anthropology in order to examine the current picnic practices and its
relation to field of design.
I have found some previous researches especially in the fields of
literature, education and fine arts; such as novels, plays, paintings
etc. Apart from that, i have found some books written such as;
Burns, J., & Caton, E. (2005). The urban picnic : being an idiosyncratic
and lyrically recollected account of menus, recipes, history, trivia, and
adm.
Fisher, H.S. (1942). A good time at your picnic; picnic plans and games.
New York, M.S. Mill co., inc.
Fredrikson, C.L. (1942). The picnic book. New York, A. S. Barnes.
Levy, W. (2013). The Picnic: A History.
Miller, T. (2014). Barbecue : A History.
Shallcross, J. E. (1954). The complete picnic book, containing over 200
picnic games and contests. New York, A.S. Barnes.
Symons, M. (2007). One Continuous Picnic: A Gastronomic History of
Australia.
Visser, M. (2015). The Rituals of Dinner: The Origins, Evolution,
Eccentricities, and Meaning of Table Manners.
But, despite the fact that i've searched in various databases, i couldn't
find any dissertations published previously.
I was wondering, if you could help me out to find more academic resources
which may be related to my research.
Thank you all in advance for your support.
Sincerely,
--
