PhD Research - regarding survey

Sorry for the cross-posting but there can't be a better group than this to
discuss.

Dear Professor(s) / Researcher(s) / Academician(s) Group Members,

*My Introduction*:
I'm Shiva Ji, a PhD Research Scholar in Dept. of Design at IIT Guwahati,
India. My supervisor is Prof. Ravi Mokashi Punekar, who is the Dean of
Alumni Affairs and External Relations and former Head of Department.
Concurrently I'm an Assistant Professor at Department of Planning and
Architecture, Mizoram University, Aizawl, India. Earlier I've worked in
industry for over 8.5 years in field of Architecture and Industrial Design.

*Prerequisite for the Respondents*:
Knowledge of Sustainability Assessment /Building Energy
Efficiency/Environmental Quotient Rating Tools such as LEED, CASBEE,
BREEAM, GRIHA (from India), etc.

*Research Survey Background*:
My (working) research topic is "Compliance of GRIHA on Sustainability
Parameters : A Critical study of Institutional Academic Buildings". I've
undertaken a comparative study of GRIHA and other prevalent building rating
tools such as LEED, CASBEE and BREEAM and analyzed them. Further National
Building Code of India 2016 Part 11 is also being analyzed for its contents
on sustainability in built-environments. In my study I have noted that some
sustainability criteria have precipitated which are present in other
Sustainability Assessment (SA) Methods and NBC Part 11 but not included in
the present version of GRIHA 2015. Hence the query is to seek reasons
behind inclusion of such criteria in other SA Methods and look into
possibility of inclusion in GRIHA.

*Expectations from the Research Survey*:
This survey is being taken from experts like you who are in the field of
performance assessment of built environments. I seek your opinion in terms
of criticality and recommendation on the need for inclusion of these
identified parameters. Your expertise may help reaching a fruitful
conclusion for this research. The results of this survey will form a
significant part of my PhD research. It is being requested to maintain the
ethical confidentiality of the research data shared in this survey.

Further, I request respondent(s) to indicate if I may contact you again
with inquiries/questions which may arise later in this research; to know
the outcome of this research and to collaborate on R&D projects concerning
this field of research in future. I will be glad to remain in touch with
you on such topics.

*Suggestions*:
I thank you for your valuable inputs/comments/suggestions/further useful
links/etc. regarding this research. I welcome suggestions regarding this
topic which may prove to be crucial.

*Notes about Questionnaire*:
o There are 10 criteria (not in any particular order) listed in the
attached table - in "Column B"
o Please indicate/write your responses against - "Row 10/11" as per
enquiries.
o Visit link : https://goo.gl/sn9gGz
o Please download the MS Excel file named "Questionnaire table", kindly put
in your entries and mail it back to my email address ([log in to unmask]
)
o Note : Enquiry 1, 2 & 3 are very important to be answered. Enquiry 4, 5 &
6 are optional and can be filled wherever there is something important to
talk about.

Enquiry 1 : Level of Urgency on Time Factor (indicate any one check box)
Option 1: Very High, critical, must be included immediately
Option 2: High, moderately needed, must be added
Option 3: Medium, should be added
Option 4: Low, but can be added later
Option 5: None, no scope, to be ignored at this time

Enquiry 2 : Level of Importance (indicate any one check box)
  Option 1: Strongly recommended
  Option 2: Recommended
Option 3: Neutral / No opinion
  Option 4: Not recommended
  Option 5: Strongly against it

Enquiry 3 : Indicate Order of Priority
Criteria Number : Order (from 1 - 10)

Enquiry 4 : Please specify how, adding this criteria, enhances
Sustainability in GRIHA/a rating tool?

Enquiry 5 : From your knowledge/opinion, what is the reason behind this
criteria's present existence in any/all other SA Methods like LEED, CASBEE,
BREEAM and/or National Building Code of India 2016 Part 11?

Enquiry 6 : Why this Criteria is relevant in Indian context?

I hope I will be able to get feedback and suggestions.
I Thank you all for your time and attention.

warm regards...
Shiva Ji
