Hi Allison and all,
the lower end appears to me the surface where cartilage is connected (not an epiphysis) that would make it (one of) the first rib(s). Let us know...
cheers,

Objet : [ZOOARCH] mystery bone - we're stumped
Hello again.
I have a small partial bone that I've shown to both zooarchs and
bioanths alike in person and we're all stumped. The kicker is I know
I've seen this before. It's a little thorn in my side, now.
At first it looks like human proximal radius or young distal humerus but
it is neither of these things and is so compact we're calling it
non-human. The real pain is that it has a bunch of identifiable
features, and yet...
Commingled assemblage, mainly human and domesticates.

Thanks in advance.
