POST-DOCTORAL FELLOW
The faculty of the Brain Behavior Laboratory (BBL) at the University of Pennsylvania is are seeking to recruit a post-doctoral fellow. Through a NIMH-funded T32 training grant, the post-doctoral fellow would have an opportunity to work with BBL faculty including Raquel Gur, Ruben Gur, Bruce Turetsky, Daniel Wolf, David Roalf, and Ted Satterthwaite. Anticipated research focus for this position would be to use sophisticated analytic methods to understand how abnormal patterns of brain development associate with and predict neuropsychiatric syndromes such as psychosis and mood disorders. As such, the position will involve working as part of a highly-interdisciplinary research team, with particular emphasis on collaborative work with leaders including Dr. Christos Davatzikos (multivariate pattern analysis), Dr. Danielle Bassett (network theory), and Taki Shinohara (imaging statistics). To work effectively in this highly collaborative environment, the applicant must have superior communication, language, and writing skills. The applicant must have completed their Ph.D. in neuroscience, engineering, psychology, or statistics with an established record of high productivity. Expertise in using neuroimaging software (e.g., ANTs, FSL, AFNI, FreeSurfer), statistical packages (e.g., R, Matlab), and scripting languages (e.g., bash, etc) is highly desirable. Salary flexible and based upon experience.
