Hi Dave and Co.,
Clicking the 'oo' button at the link with my volume up sure woke me quickly this morning, but no, I have never made or seen such a thing before. Good luck with it.

Subject: DIY vowel resonator advice please
Hi everyone,
After wondering whether such a thing might even exist, I just found this awesome webpage on how to build your own vowel resonator, complete with recordings of the eerily lifelike sounds! http://www.phon.ucl.ac.uk/home/mark/vowels/
My mind immediately turned to how and whether I might be able to get class of students to make one (inside one hour), or perhaps as a homework assignment. Either way I'd have to remove the bit involving knives (because I do so love not getting fired).
Has anyone made one of these before, or better yet, tried getting undergrads to make one in class or at home?
Thanks for any advice!
Dave
