I completely agree in that regard, Gunnar. I don't think a journal should
retract something based on threats.
I do find it odd, in this case, that T&F did. Not to suggest they're making
up the threat; the threats may very well turn out to be real, but it could
be a convenient way to punctuate an episode that they'd been hoping would
come to a resolution somehow. Of course, this is speculative, for one
thing, and for another thing, their actions, as they are on the surface,
only seem to raise more questions rather than bring all this to a close.
