Music Research Forum Announces 33rd Annual Volume Call for Papers
October 10th, 2017
Music Research Forum is currently accepting submissions from outstanding graduate students and young professionals. The deadline for submissions for Volume 33 (forthcoming, Summer 2018) is November 15th, 2017.
Now in its thirty-first year of publication, Music Research Forum is a peer-reviewed journal published annually by the Graduate Student Association of the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music. Articles will be considered in any area of music scholarship, including musicology, theory, performance practice, ethnomusicology, music and culture, music education, electronic media, and criticism. Faculty are encouraged to pass this information along to their students and recent graduates.
Music Research Forum has a growing subscriber base that includes university, college, and conservatory libraries, professionals, and students, as well as readers outside of academia. Authors may submit single copies electronically in either. pdf or .doc format or three hard copies of each article to:

A cover sheet listing the author’s name, address, telephone number, email address, and academic affiliation (if applicable) must precede articles. Articles should be between 4,000-6,000 words and word-processed on 8.5x11-inch paper. All materials, including example captions, should be double-spaced and conform to the style guidelines found in The Chicago Manual of Style of Style.
