Dear List Members:
We would be most grateful if interested list members would take a look at
our paper soon to be published. Feedback is invited. It is open access so
you can download it. The paper, "How To Survive the Medical Misinformation
Mess," will be published in the European Journal of Clinical Investigation
(links at the end of this message).
We invited two well-known colleagues who are dedicated to evidence-based
quality improvement, Dr. John Ioannidis and Shannon Brownlee, to co-author
a paper which explores several facets of the important, ongoing problem of
frequently having to make health care decisions without reliable medical
evidence (or the knowledge that reliable evidence does not exist) and, in
the case of patients, without skilled guidance/collaboration at the time
of medical decision-making.
