You asked for someone to explain their opinion about Gjoko Muratovski’s book, Research for Designers. Since I recommended the book, I’ll offer a quick reply to your question. I did not find customer reviews on the French Amazon web site, so I can’t respond to the review. I can respond to the English-language comments in your post. (Full disclosure: I wrote the foreword to this book.)
This is indeed a book about research. Since it is written for designers, there is no way to avoid design questions — it is inevitable that designers must sometimes ask and answer research questions to solve design problems.
Nevertheless, this is a book about research methods. The Table of Contents will make this clear.
