"What companies need now are designers who can empathize *and* bang out lines of Javascript" because the future of design employment is deciding that Instagram images should be square and coding Javascript is most definitely a prerequisite for that. Although Hasselblad’s massive design team of deciders-to-be-square did it without learning Javascript, they didn’t really imagine users, motivations, actions, reactions, obstacles, successes, and a complete set of "what if’ scenarios but they weren’t really writers because Javascript hadn't been invented.
