Hi Mauricio
Of course they can't be designers - they can't draw (Winston Churchill excepted!)

Subject: Are politicians designers?
Hello Klaus,
Very good to see your comments.
I think we could see politicians as designers. Last September I wrote on
Twitter:
#DesignThesaurus:
#TraditionalDesign: intuition, emotion, designer's ego, #Trump
#SystemicDesign: iteration, context, stakeholders, #Clinton
https://twitter.com/mmejiaramirez/status/780883250566852608
This is a very synthetic version of my thoughts on the US candidates and
seen them as designers. Trump represents the traditional designer that
relies on intuition to make decisions. Clinton is more like a systemic
designer that collaborates with all stakeholders to negotiate a
participatory outcome.
It seems to me that both approaches are noble-minded and look for the best
for the users (citizens).
