The University of Stirling Archives has launched its first crowdfunding campaign to support the cataloguing, conservation and digitisation of the Peter Mackay Archive. Mackay (1926-2013) was a key figure in the independence movements of Southern Africa. Born into a Scottish family with strong links to Stirling he served in the Scots Guards before emigrating to Rhodesia in 1948 where he devoted himself to the cause of African liberation.
The project has been launched on the Crowdfunder platform and is open for donations until 24 January 2017. Further details about the campaign can be found at:

We welcome any assistance you may provide in promoting the campaign and invite you to forward this message to anyone who may be interested in supporting the archive.
