Indeed. He followed a strong European tradition of writing in aphorisms. But he also regarded language as made of units, with words representing things: what became known as a ‘picture theory of language’
He radically changed his thinking on this by the time he got to his later work in the Investigations. But, as far as I know, he did not do any further design work. It would have been interesting if he had, and to compare the earlier design work with later work.
One thing is clear, he was an accomplished designer.
