Totally agree, Michael - gFOBT should only be done as part of the screening programmes - which are moving increasingly to FIT anyway - FIT is the test of choice for both screening and symptomatic!!

I thought guaiac FOB testing had been totally abandoned and was only retained in the screening programme.
But obviously I'm wrong.
What sort of matrix matched substance would they like? Various inappropriate comments spring to mind...

We had a finding from our recent UKAS inspection regarding the guaiac FOB test (Seracult Plus) and lack of matrix matched IQC material that would behave in the same way as the sample. Does anyone know of any commercial IQC material available for the FOB test?
