Hi all,
I'm not sure how widely known this is but a good Twitter feed for TeachLingy type
stuff is https://twitter.com/LanguageDebates (often pre-undergraduate, but still
plenty of interesting stuff).
Useful for keeping track of developments in the sector is
https://twitter.com/timeshighered (predominantly UK stuff but a good amount of
international content too).
I think https://twitter.com/insidehighered is a more US-focused equivalent.
Language on the Move is a really good one too: https://twitter.com/Lg_on_the_Move
There's the hashtag #teachinglinguistics (nothing to do with me!).
Meanwhile in terms of individual people's accounts, Debbie Cameron is prolific on
Twitter (and often linking to extremely thought provoking long-form stuff she's
written elsewhere online): https://twitter.com/wordspinster.
And Lauren Squires regularly posts interesting linguistic material:
https://twitter.com/prof_squires.
I was just about to ask for any suggestions from list members, but then realised that
would be better (and easier on everyone's inboxes) in a publicly editable Google doc,
so I've made one: https://goo.gl/ZuqCQm. I've put the above in there. Please do add
your own!
Dave
